WINTER Programs: January 22, 2024 - March 28, 2024*

VIVE LA PAROLE ! program features theme-based games and interactive activities that will have older students laughing and communicating with each other with ease in French.
There will be NO programming during the following two weeks:

*Reading Week at York University:
Monday, February 19 (Family Day) – Friday, February 23, 2024.

*March Break for Schools:
Monday, March 11 – Friday, March 15, 2024.

During VIVE LA PAROLE!, students can make new friends from across the province, learn about French culture, including the contemporary Franco-Ontarian pop culture scene! This virtual program is offered to Ontario students in Grades 7-12, learning French as a Second Language in French Immersion, Extended French Immersion, and Core French.

Important Notes Once Your Child(ren) is Registered:

All programs are held on Zoom, links will be emailed the week prior to the start of the session
Sessions are not held on statutory holidays
To give an equal opportunity to register, only one program per participant will be permitted

Expectations for Participants:

Arrive 5 minutes early
Ensure participants have access to the provided email address to receive important correspondence
Everyone is expected to fully participate in activities in each session
Participants that distract or interfere with the success of the Zoom sessions will be muted or removed
The camera needs to be turned on with the participant’s accurate name on Zoom

Vive La Parole has been a great French program for my son who is attending the French Immersion program. He learns a lot and I hear him speaking more confidently in French. The teachers are very friendly and the way they teach is fun and keeps the kids engaged.

We are so grateful for the ongoing support that CPF has given our family through its many programs. Because of CPF, my kids have developed a love for the French language and culture.

I've watched my son's confidence speaking, understanding and conversing in French improve over the last two weeks. I only wish we could access this all the time to really reinforce French language development outside of the classroom.
