Mississauga, May 7, 2021 – Grade 11 and 12 students participated in the province-wide French public speaking competition, le Concours d’art oratoire, organized by the Ontario Branch of Canadian Parents for French (CPF).

From February 17h to April 15h, Canadian Parents for French (Ontario) received video submissions from students from 5 school boards and 1 independent school across Ontario. This year’s competition involved video submissions. Students recorded themselves presenting an original speech on a topic of their choice. Impartial judges evaluated the videos. Students who won 1st place in their category will receive a $4,000 scholarship to York University Glendon Campus. The winners are invited to participate in the Canadian Parents for French National finals. Students may submit the same video or re-record a new video of the same speech.
