Mississauga, September 27, 2021 – Members voted in Mỹ Dang as President of Canadian Parents for French (Ontario) at the Ontario Branch Annual General Meeting held on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Mỹ Dang is an advocate for French as a Second Language (FSL) education and an avid promoter of opportunities to engage in French across Ontario. Her native languages are Vietnamese and Cantonese, and she has been working on improving her French language proficiency since completing her MBA and working in the pharmaceutical industry.

Joining Mỹ on the CPF Ontario Board of Directors are returning directors Myron Karpiuk (Vice President) from Thunder Bay, Elizabeth Hoerath (Treasurer) from Burlington, and Mariana Kirkwood-Lazazzera (Youth Representative) from Toronto. Elected for their first term as directors are Callie Mady, a University professor and researcher from North Bay; Deborah Williams, a parent advocate who has served as CPF Chapter leader and on the Parent Involvement Advisory Committee at the Toronto District School Board.
