York University’s Faculty of Education teacher candidates enabled CPF Ontario to support FSL students in several schools, libraries and community centres in the Greater Toronto Area. Thanks to the 27 who volunteered to complete their Community Placements this fall with CPF Ontario, we are offering a wide variety of French programs and experiences for youth in schools, libraries, and community centres in Brampton, Milton, Mississauga, Oakville, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Toronto, and Vaughan.

National Canadian Film Day 150 was a huge success with over 120 movie screenings booked by our network of Chapter leaders, teachers and parents. On April 19, 2017 over 16,000 students and families enjoyed exceptional Canadian French films.

CPF Ontario co-hosted two film screenings at Alliance Française Toronto for 200 elementary students from several schools. We also partnered with the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines for La Journée du Cinema Canadien. This event included a film competition for secondary students and a film screening for 190 elementary students. This partnership allows CPF Ontario to create and promote French cultural experiences for students across the province.
