The Forest of Reading is Canada’s largest recreational reading program with over 250,000 participants every year. Our goal: to develop a lifelong love of reading. We have programs for each young reader of any age that connects them with stellar Canadian literature and gives them the opportunity to vote for their favourite book.

We have two French language programs, Prix Peuplier and Prix Tamarac:
- Prix Peuplier has short French chapter books (maximum 100 pages) or mature picture books with large text with pictures, simple vocabulary and verb tenses
- Prix Tamarac has French chapter books (from 100 to 250 pages), with text, little or no illustrations, and more complicated verb tenses and vocabulary.
