Another rise in French Immersion enrolment reflects the public’s confidence in the program and support for official language bilingualism
The latest Ministry of Education figures for the 2015-2016 school year indicate another rise in student enrolment in French Immersion in Ontario with a total of 212,714 students in the program. The average annual growth rate of 5.7 percent has been sustained for the eleventh consecutive year and the trend will continue with good reason.
