Don’t let your tween forget about French until school starts again. Here are some ideas for keeping French present in their minds.

As you drive around town, perhaps put on some French music or tune in to a French radio station. Check this list of Ontario Radio Stations to see if there’s a French program you can listen to from your area. The programs on this list also stream live over the internet, so you can encourage your tween to listen online while they are on the computer! They could also listen to French radio stations from France that stream live on the internet.

Check out our Summer Fun in French guide for some activities that offer exposure to the French language.

If your tween likes to watch TV, why not watch some in French? Encourage them to watch the French educational channel TFO (“la Télé Franco-Ontarienne.”) From the TFO website, you can enter your postal code to find out the channel number for TFO based on your TV provider: https://www.tfo.org/fr/comment-nous-capter

Encourage your tween to explore the TFO website and their programs for youth: TFO – Jeunesse.
